Mahmoud Abbas Admits Palestinian UN Official Request – The time has come for the “Palestinian revolution” to join “Arab Revolt” in reshaping the Middle East. That said the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, on the face of the UN General Assembly on Friday (23/09/2011), in a historic demand to the world body to recognize a Palestinian state as a full member. “My people willing to use their right to enjoy a normal life like other people,” Abbas said. But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who then addressed the General Assembly, said the Palestinian people are looking for a “country without peace” which, he said, would continue to threaten the security of small states. Netanyahu said the Palestinians are not only armed with “hopes and dreams,” as told Abbas in a speech. To realize a Palestinian state, Abbas, Netanyahu said, also adding “10,000 missiles, and Grad rockets supplied by Iran, not to mention the flood of lethal weapons into Gaza.”
